Some specialties are les Saucisson sec, Soupe à l’ail rose, Tarte au Cantal, Coq au Vin, Truffade, Saumon d’Allier, Lentilles vertes du Puy, Aligot, Tarte aux Myrtilles.

There are 5 Auvergne cheeses who are AOC. These are: Saint Nectaire, Cantal, Salers, Fourme Ambert and Bleu d'Auvergne. There is also a wine route and cheese route.
